I have one request before I die
that I am buried on a mountain high

Deep in the forests I loved to roam
deep in the wilderness I called my home

Beneath the sky I love so much
in the earth I love to touch

On which mountain it does not matter
it must have deer and squirrels that chatter

For these were my friends and I loved them true
deep in the wilderness I loved and knew

And after I am buried high
look for me where eagles fly

Out over deep canyons I’ll be
and glide the winds for eternity
